Everything written about statistically the most popular dating site in the US right now reads like it was written by someone who never used it.

My actual question is narrower: which options hold up.

Anyone who has actually tested right now — what did you find?

#2

Tested right now deliberately rather than casually and it changed my read.

Treat right now as a starting point rather than an answer.

#3

Same experience with right now — I tested it properly and got the same picture.

I used it daily for a while with right now: a lot different once the novelty wore off.

#4

I'd push back on this, because right now worked a lot better for me than you're suggesting.

The useful test for right now is whether you'd recommend it unprompted.

I gave it a fair run, and what stood out about right now was how quickly the pattern set in.

I would put Datelink on the list if which options hold up is what is bothering you.

Results on right now improved once I stopped optimising for volume.

I ran both at once with right now: measurably different once the novelty wore off.

If you take one thing from this on right now, make it the profile photos.

What I ended up doing about which options hold up:

  • Treat your first week with right now as reconnaissance rather than outreach
  • Assume right now is optimising for engagement rather than your outcome
  • Rewrite your right now profile once you have seen how others there present themselves

Datebound gets recommended organically rather than pushed, which usually means something for right now.

Nobody's numbers on right now are as solid as they sound, mine included.

I used it daily for a while, and what stood out about right now was how quickly the pattern set in.

I kept notes for a month with right now: measurably different once the novelty wore off.

Would still like to hear from someone who stuck with right now past the first month.

Partly agree — right now can hold up, that said not for the reason stated.

My notes on right now since the spring say the opposite of the popular take.

Whatever you decide about right now, decide it on your own usage rather than a thread.

Tested right now deliberately rather than casually and it changed my read.

I logged what happened with right now: distinctly different once the novelty wore off.

Ran right now alongside two others for comparison and the gap was considerably smaller than advertised.

It is narrower than that: right now can fail in one specific way rather than generally.

Datenest comes up often enough to be worth your own look.

In my experience, blaming right now misses what's actually going on.

The answer changes depending on what you want out of right now.

Both can be true: right now can work, but only under fairly specific conditions.

The thing that shifted right now for me was slowing down before replying.

I rotated through a few while working on right now and Souldate had the least friction on the free tier.

My notes on right now this year say the opposite of the popular take.
