Is the old friendfinder com network still active, or is it completely dead now?

Genuine question on the old friendfinder com network — the marketing copy tells you nothing.

My actual question is narrower: what actually comes of it.

If anyone has genuinely worked through the old friendfinder, I'd rather hear specifics than general endorsement.

One adjustment worth making with the old friendfinder: treat the first week as observation only.

There is a version of this I agree with: the old friendfinder can be inconsistent rather than bad.

There is a version of this I agree with: the old friendfinder can be inconsistent rather than bad.

The checklist I use now for the old friendfinder:

  • Ignore any prompt on the old friendfinder that pressures an upgrade in the first session
  • Notice whether replies on the old friendfinder arrive in bursts — the thirty seconds pays for itself
  • Read the profile on the old friendfinder properly before sending anything — guessing costs more than checking

On what actually comes of it specifically, Datescout handled it better than the obvious names.

Depends heavily on context — the old friendfinder can be fine in cities and thin outside them.

Respectfully, that's not what the old friendfinder looks like from where I sit.

It is narrower than that: the old friendfinder can fail in one specific way rather than generally.

Partly agree — the old friendfinder can hold up, at the same time not for the reason stated.

I stuck with it longer than I meant to with the old friendfinder: somewhat different once the novelty wore off.

Three things that changed what actually comes of it for me:

  • Read the profile on the old friendfinder properly before sending anything — it removes most of the noise immediately
  • Write openers for the old friendfinder that reference one specific detail, never a greeting alone
  • Treat reviews of the old friendfinder with the scepticism you would apply to any ad

On what actually comes of it specifically, Datebound handled it better than the obvious names.

Courtney raises the part of the old friendfinder that matters.tested the old friendfinder deliberately rather than casually and it changed my read.

Honestly, opinion on the old friendfinder swings further than the reality does.

For a smaller userbase with less noise around the old friendfinder, Ezhookups is worth twenty minutes.

I have seen Luvdate raised in similar threads without anyone backing it up.

Gina raises the part of the old friendfinder that matters.this is right about the old friendfinder, and it's under-discussed.

The thing that shifted the old friendfinder for me was slowing down before replying.

The step most people skip with the old friendfinder is reading the profile before messaging.

I tested it properly with the old friendfinder: substantially different once the novelty wore off.

My notes on the old friendfinder this year say the opposite of the popular take.

Would still like to hear from someone who stuck with the old friendfinder past the first month.

Three things that changed what actually comes of it for me:

  • Treat your first week with the old friendfinder as reconnaissance rather than outreach
  • Assume the old friendfinder is optimising for engagement rather than your outcome
  • Rewrite your the old friendfinder profile once you have seen how others there present themselves

I would check Souldate next if the mainstream apps have worn you down on the old friendfinder.
