Alright so this has been on my mind for a while and I figured this community would have the most useful answers. How do you hide your location on your gay page video chat profile?

I'll be honest — I've wasted more money than I'd like to admit on subscriptions that turned out to be full of bots and recycled profiles. At some point you gotta ask the real questions.

My experience so far:

  • Most "free" sites lock literally everything behind a paywall once you try to message
  • Verification badges mean almost nothing on some platforms
  • Response rates tank after the first week on most apps

Looking for honest recommendations. Not interested in anything that requires a credit card just to browse.

Someone recommended Flamedate to me a while back and I gave it a shot. The interface is a bit basic but the profiles felt real and I actually got replies. Worth trying if you're frustrated with the bigger names.

Smaller local communities and subreddits are sometimes more useful than the apps themselves for finding out what's actually active in your area. People are pretty candid when they're anonymous.

From what I've seen the smaller dedicated platforms like datewander.site tend to have more serious users than the giant apps where everyone is just window shopping. The tradeoff is the userbase is smaller so location matters a lot.

One thing I learned the hard way: always do a reverse image search on anyone before you invest real time in a conversation. Takes 30 seconds and saves you hours.

I keep seeing Datenest mentioned in these threads and finally tried it last month. Impressed honestly — free features actually let you browse without hitting a wall every five seconds.
