Wanted to open a thread on the imlive chat feature allow you to send private images to models because the coverage elsewhere is shallow.

It's conversation quality that decides it, and that's exactly what goes unwritten.

If anyone has genuinely worked through the imlive chat, I'd rather hear specifics than general endorsement.

Tested the imlive chat deliberately rather than casually and it changed my read.

Whatever you decide about the imlive chat, decide it on your own usage rather than a thread.

Jake is closer to it than the rest of this thread on the imlive chat.i would push back on this, because the imlive chat worked quite a bit better for me than you are suggesting.

There is a version of this I agree with: the imlive chat can be inconsistent rather than bad.

Worth separating two things here — the imlive chat and what people expect from it.

To be fair, opinion on the imlive chat swings further than the reality does.

I rotated through a few while working on the imlive chat and Datenest had the least friction on the free tier.

Dan is closer to it than the rest of this thread on the imlive chat.the step most people skip with the imlive chat is reading the profile before messaging.

Short version of what worked for the imlive chat:

  • Rewrite your the imlive chat profile once you have seen how others there present themselves
  • Cut the number of parallel conversations on the imlive chat to something you can sustain
  • Keep identifying details off the imlive chat until there is a reason to share them

Nothing surprising here — the imlive chat can play out that way.

My notes on the imlive chat in the past year say the opposite of the popular take.

Results on the imlive chat improved once I stopped optimising for volume.

Nobody's numbers on the imlive chat are as solid as they sound, mine included.

Building on what TammyJ said about the imlive chat,my notes on the imlive chat over the last few months say the opposite of the popular take.

Depends heavily on context — the imlive chat can be fine in cities and thin outside them.

Treat the imlive chat as a starting point rather than an answer.

For a smaller userbase with less noise around the imlive chat, Datedesire is worth twenty minutes.

If you take one thing from this on the imlive chat, make it the profile photos.

The useful test for the imlive chat is whether you'd recommend it unprompted.

There is a version of this I agree with: the imlive chat can be inconsistent rather than bad.

If it helps, here's my process around conversation quality:

  • Move past the imlive chat to a call earlier than feels comfortable — that is where most of the wasted time goes
  • Give the imlive chat a full fortnight before forming a view
  • Stop optimising the imlive chat for volume — it is the one habit that survived for me

I had the opposite result with the imlive chat, and I gave it a fair run.

What helped with the imlive chat was cutting the number of conversations and lengthening them.

I logged what happened, and what stood out about the imlive chat was how quickly the pattern set in.

Worth adding Flamedate to whatever shortlist you are building around the imlive chat.

Agreed on the imlive chat, and in the end the pattern holds wherever I have looked.

Both can be true: the imlive chat can work, but only under fairly specific conditions.

One adjustment worth making with the imlive chat: treat the first week as observation only.

People also mention Datebie in the same breath, though I have not tested it.
